Megatouch Ion 2014 Lost Classics Edition

The Lost Classics edition is based on the Ion 2014 software edition (with all Ion 2014 games) and also restores nearly 50 Megatouch games that were removed from software releases between 2003 and 2014. This is an unofficial update created with the help of the Megatouch Players community to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the Megatouch Ion 2014 software release.

This hard drive will work in ANY Megatouch Ion system. ANY Ion 2014 security key can be used with this hard drive. See compatibility section below.

- Coin jam fix: Broken I/O board or can't get rid of the coin jam error? Setting Lost Classics to free play will disable the annoying coin jam alarm and allow idle/attract to work properly.

This hard drive automatically backs up your security key data and works with *ANY* Ion 2014 security key. When your security key "dies" after 20+ years, the serial number is still readable. When the key saver detects your serial number, the backup key data will be automatically loaded, and your game will function 100% like the original!

This upgrade contains a solid state drive (SSD), tested and verified working before shipping.

SSD hard drives BOOT faster and LOAD GAMES faster than traditional hard drives with spinning platters. They also produce LESS HEAT and will LAST MUCH LONGER! Replace your drive with an SSD and forget about it.

Please note, the software installed on these drives was once freely available on the Internet for download from Merit's website. However, the official downloads have been taken offline. This listing is for a hard drive that is compatible with your Megatouch system. I will install the software onto it for free, as a courtesy. If you wish to obtain a copy of the software without purchasing the hard drive to install on your own, please message me, and I will be happy to upload the original stock ISO's for you at no charge. You will need a DVD burner to burn the ISO's and to hook up to your Megatouch for installation. There are no ISO's available for the Lost Classics, only the stock Megatouch software.
